More About This Product
Diabetic Neuropathy Device™ allows medical professionals to aggressively treat their diabetes patients’ peripheral neuropathy as early as possible. The handheld digital device detects and measures peripheral neuropathy and identifies the risks for complications in a three-minute comprehensive foot exam.
Early intervention can prevent initial sensory issues from progressing to nerve fiber loss, which can result in more serious conditions including pain, foot ulcers, gangrene, and amputations.
The device is easy to use and provides objective screenings using tactile stimuli, vibration sensitivity, and temperature discrimination to detect and score sensory deficiencies and report accurate results in numerical values on an LED digital display.
The metal tip vibrates at five different amplitudes at the frequency of a standard tuning fork.
Large fiber health or neuropathy can be screened and tracked based on the lowest amplitude a patient can sense to establish a baseline and detect changes over time in various areas of the foot or other extremities. Two temperature pads—one fixed at 25°C as a baseline temperature and the other varying between 15-23°C for cooling and 27-40°C for warming—allow the user to increase or decrease the temperature.
The DND can be easily attached to your existing mobile assessment equipment with included holder for quick and convenient access.
