AliMed^® D2^™ PF Night Splint

AliMed® D2™ PF Night Splint treats plantar fasciitis pain, but with a big difference. Traditional night splints place the user's foot in a 90-degree position and require them to tolerate this aggressive stretch for the entire night. This often results in removal or discontinued use as the user becomes uncomfortable maintaining this position. Rather than using a fixed shell, the D2 PF Night Splint uses a pivoting dorsal shell and adjustable dynamic cord to help gently stretch the plantar fascia and calf musculature, which allows some normal plantarflexion of the foot during sleep and returns foot to a dorsiflexed position when the muscles relax. This freedom of movement is the key to comfort and compliance. Multiple cord hooks permit easy adjustment of cord tension, allowing a more gradual stretch and progression as tolerance increases. Cord hooks are numbered, allowing patient to easily gauge progress. Dorsal shell and soft bottom promote greater comfort and safety while walking, allowing the splint to be worn both at rest and at night to maximize gains and help speed recovery. Padded terry liner wicks away moisture, promoting dry skin and limits heat buildup to keep the skin cool. Plush neoprene straps contour to the foot. Fits left or right. Available in two sizes.
