AliMed^® Sit-Straight^™ Wheelchair Cushion with Release Pommel

AliMed® Sit-Straight™ Wheelchair Cushion with Release Pommel controls hip adduction and limits forward sliding. Built-in release pommel allows the pommel to drop out of the way for unhindered transfers and is padded with a 1"H layer of soft Polyfoam for added comfort. Great for those with windswept deformity or pelvic obliquity as the pommel helps keep the hips and femurs aligned properly. Integrated wedge and Solid Seat Insert™ base provide a superior sitting platform. Removable, wipe-clean, water-resistant black cover with nonskid bottom is fully launderable with rear ties for security. Available in two widths: 16" and 18".

AliMed® Sit-Straight™ Cushions combine a Solid Seat Insert™ base with a wedge cushion to discourage harmful sacral sitting. The convex base design counteracts the negative effects of a sagging sling seat by filling the sag without modifying the wheelchair or raising the surface’s height. The wedge top limits forward sliding and maintains hips at 90° for optimal postural support. The end result is proper sitting posture, improved sitting tolerance, and functional independence.
