Smith & Nephew Allevyn™ Adhesive Hydrocellular Dressing is a highly absorbent, low-allergy adhesive wound dressing designed to create and maintain a moist wound environment. It prevents eschar from forming, helping to facilitate optimal wound management. The low-allergy, non-irritating adhesive coating adheres to the intact skin surrounding wounds, but not to the wounds themselves. Its perforated wound contact layer allows the passage of viscous exudate into the dressing. The hydrocellular core absorbs and holds liquid in its microscopic structure, combining with a breathable outer surface to form a wound environment that allows wound closure to progress without frequent dressing changes. Sticks and remains in place, even on difficult-to-dress areas. Available in two sizes. 10 per pack.
