GivMohr Sling

GivMohr Sling promotes a more natural, functional position of the upper extremity during standing and ambulation and reduces shoulder subluxation. Design allows three adjustments: 1) Hand Opening Adjustment accommodates girth/size of hand and position of wrist cross; 2) Wrist Ulnar/Radial Deviation Adjustment more evenly balances weight bearing across the palmar surface of the hand; and 3) Wrist Flexion/Extension Adjustment changes wrist position. The GivMohr Sling helps protect the involved upper extremity from injury. Easy for the user to apply and custom fit. Hand-wash, air dry. Ideal for neurological diagnoses such as stroke/CVA, ALS, traumatic brain injury, brachial plexus injury, post-polio syndrome, and central cord syndrome. Available in four sizes and Single Arm model for support of either the left or right arm or Bilateral Arm model to support both arms simultaneously.

The GivMohr Sling is a patented positioning device for flaccid upper extremities and was developed in a collaborative effort between Victoria Givler, OTR, and Paul Mohr, PT, in response to the lack of effective arm support devices for clients with neurological diagnoses presenting with flaccid arm. The GivMohr Sling can help individuals who are ambulatory or potentially ambulatory.
