AliMed® AliCork™ Lite is a moldable material that makes a superior shell for foot orthoses. Holds its shape and does not bottom out, yet absorbs shocks and impact while resisting compression, making it particularly adaptable to women's orthosis where space is critical and aH orthosis is often unacceptable. Use for complex and lasting corrections. AliCork Lite is a dispersion of natural cork particles in a unique plastic matrix, which may be compressed to relieve point pressure by applying local heat with a heat gun. Depress and hold the heated spot until cooled. Heat-form in a 300-degree F oven. Manually mold to a plastic positive or vacuum-form for fine detail (do not mold directly to any body part). Grinds crisply and easily. Select when weight is important. Firmness: 65 durometer (Shore A). Also available in standard AliCork (sold separately) when durability is the prime consideration. Sold individually by the sheet in two heights: 1/8" or 1/4".
