AliMed^® Super Constructa^™ Foam

AliMed® Super Constructa™ Foam is a smooth, lightweight material with a velvety, close-celled surface that stands up to repeated use and is silky and pleasing against skin. Flexible yet firm for custom fabricating wheelchair and bed support systems, trunk and head supports, body positioners, abduction wedges, leg and arm troughs, and more. Foam bonds after application of direct heat or with a spray adhesive. To bond with a heat gun, thoroughly warm both surfaces by holding the heat gun 4" to 6" away from the material and passing the heat back and forth until surfaces appear glassy. Heat one minute longer, then press surfaces together (do not allow surfaces to cool before bonding or bond will be weak). Spray adhesives are more effective on larger surfaces. Follow adhesive manufacturer's directions, apply weight, and cure for 24 hours before use to ensure total contact. Pressure-sensitive paddings also bond easily to Super Constructa Foam and provide extra protection for fragile skin. Available in 1"H, 2"H, or 3"H. Sold individually by the sheet.
