Product Description

AliMed® Drop Seat creates a flat, low-height wheelchair seating surface without having to make adjustments to the wheelchair frame. Sturdy ABS plastic seat attaches to the wheelchair with strong webbing that independently adjusts in the front and the rear, with an adjustable drop up to 3". By lowering the sitting surface, you can use a higher-profile pressure-relieving cushion without sitting the patient too high in the chair, reducing fall risk. Drop seats allow user’s feet to reach the floor or foot supports for safer transfers, independent wheelchair mobility, and improved posture. Use as a level seat or set at an incline (by adjusting rear straps lower than front straps), creating a wedge effect on a traditional flat cushion. Reclined position helps limit forward sliding, reducing falls and skin breakdown. Fits both 16"W and 18"W wheelchairs.
