AliMed® Basic Wedge Wheelchair Cushion creates a comfortable sitting surface that discourages slouching and maximizes sitting tolerance. High-density polyurethane foam contours to the body for added support yet holds its shape even with long-term use. Cushion tapers from 3"H front to 1"H in rear. Available in 14"W, 16"W, or 18"W and two removable cover options: washable, breathable Polyknit cover or durable, wipe-clean Nonslip Vinyl cover with waterfall zippers for incontinence protection while limiting forward sliding.

About Wedge Cushions: Wedge cushions help prevent wheelchair users from sliding forward in their chair (sacral sitting) by positioning the pelvis in an anterior tilt with the knees slightly higher than the hips. This improves sitting posture and decreases pressure on the sacrum and coccyx, encouraging improved breathing, better head control, and better positioning for self-feeding.
