AliMed^® AliHip^™ Wheelchair Cushion

AliMed® AliHip™ Wheelchair Cushion is a comfortable but firm and conforming 4"H foam cushion that gently slopes on the operative side so the hip can extend an additional 15 to 20 degrees, allowing the user to safely lean forward at the trunk in facilitation of sit-to-stand, self-toileting, basic ADLs, and even eating. Base cushion has sloped cutout at the front two-thirds of the cushion's sitting surface on the operative side. Detachable wedge attaches securely on the non-operative side of the cushion, but can be removed and repositioned on the opposite side depending on the individual patient needs. This creates a flat sitting surface for the non-operative leg, and allows the distal end of the operative leg to rest slightly lower than the hip. AliHip Cushions help improve hip positioning, aiding with pain control and maximizing sitting tolerance post-operatively. Comfortably maintains hips at more than 90-degree extension while allowing freedom of movement. Smooth but secure hook-and-loop attachments ensure proper positioning without irritating skin. Use with armchair or wheelchair. Adjustable for left or right leg. Available with skin-friendly, water-resistant Black AliTex™ (polyurethane-backed polyester stretch knit) cover or durable Black Upholstered Vinyl cover. Both covers are removable, machine-washable, and feature waterfall zippers and rear safety ties for a secure attachment.
