Thigh Component for Prefabricated Carbon Fiber KAFO is intended for use as part of the complete Prefabricated KAFO (knee joint and AFO component sold separately). When combined with the other components, the KAFO is stronger and lighter than traditional plastic models, with 90% less skin contact at the ankle-foot area. Open heel design eliminates potential sores and pressure points. Dynamic posterior lateral carbon fiber AFO provides dorsi-assist and helps propel the patient through their gait cycle. Must order a Thigh Component, AFO Component, and a Knee Joint to receive a complete KAFO.
