AliMed^® Palm Guard^™ Splint with Finger Separator and MP Extension Roll

AliMed® Palm Guard™ Splint with Finger Separator and MP Extension Roll helps to gradually increase MP extension and enlarge thenar web space. Looped finger separator can be used for maximum stabilization or as interdigital tabs when it's too difficult to thread loops through fingers. Splint features a soft webbing that contours to the distortions and angulations resulting from severe finger flexion contractures to help reduce the risk of skin maceration and punctures caused by dangling nails or involuntary motion. Protects patients who cannot be splinted because of severe and unyielding contractures. Splint is made from a laminate of tough, smooth-skinned AliMed AliPlast™*, a dense waterproof foam, and synthetic fleece. The fleece rests against the palmar tissue to cushion and aerate while the AliPlast faces outward and resists fingernail puncture and cushions the excessive pressure on the fingertips. Double over and apply flat for palmar protection for extreme contracture or roll into a cone-like shape to lift and hold fingers away from the palm. Machine-washable. One size, may be trimmed with scissors to fit very small hands. Pack of two. Available in Left or Right, not interchangeable.
