AliMed, Inc. Receives Innovative Technology Designation from Vizient for InvisiCoat® Positioners utilized in Medical Imaging

Designation recognizes products that bring improvements to the healthcare industry

AliMed, Inc. announced today its InvisiCoat Positioners have received a 2017 Innovative Technology designation from Vizient, Inc., the largest member-driven healthcare performance improvement company in the country. The designation was based on direct feedback from hospital experts who interacted with InvisiCoat Positioners at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange in Denver on Sept. 14, 2017.

InvisiCoat Positioners are an innovative radiolucent patient positioning solution used in Medical Imaging procedures to promote positive outcomes by providing cleaner, clearer images. InvisiCoat’s unique curved edges are designed to reduce artifacts and witness lines unlike traditional positioners that may obscure or simulate etiology, causing a possible misdiagnosis or inconclusive image. To further enhance clinical outcomes, InvisiCoat Positioners feature a seamless, antimicrobial, fluid-proof coating that is durable and easy to clean for complete infection control.

“Based on feedback from attendees at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange, it was determined InvisiCoat Positioners should be recognized with an Innovative Technology designation. This designation will be noted in our online member contract catalog. Congratulations to AliMed on receiving this status,” said Debbie Archer, director of procurement and Vizient Innovative Technology Program lead.
