Dressing Changes Made Easy
The AliMed® Easy Access™ Foot Splint accommodates the bulkiest dressings with unlimited access to the foot and ankle to facilitate dressing changes. Clinical indications include burn management, healing wounds, surgical incisions, and other conditions that require unimpeded foot and ankle access. The stabilized leg rests on a wide leg trough with a heel cut-out that is affixed to a movable foot plate. The foot trough and leg plate form a wide U-shaped base that stabilizes the foot in a neutral position and helps to limit hip rotation. Footplate locks at 20° of plantar flexion or 5° of dorsiflexion and can be securely positioned at other angles of plantar flexion or dorsiflexion by adjusting the bilateral straps. The heel cut-out protects against heel breakdown. Soft, 1 ½ -inch thick egg-crate liners attach with hook and loop and are replaceable.
