How it works:
Have you used malleable aluminum finger splints in the past and found them to be difficult to bend in two directions simultaneously? AliMed's innovation overcomes this limitation, allowing complex curve fitting to normal anatomy.
To mold the splint, superimpose the flat form on the joint to be immobilized. Bend to fit and apply the strapping. In critical edge areas, flare edges away from the body to avoid pinching (impossible with simple aluminum).
Our straps are supplied unattached and our splints are made of hook-sensitive fabric for precise strap positioning. All aluminum wedges are completely padded. Interior covered with 1/8" closed-cell foam. Hand washable.
