Extended Width Armrest provides a wider surface for arms to rest on without increasing armrest height. Allows the arm to bear weight in a normal position without "locking" the arm into a static position. Accommodates individuals with upper extremity edema, flaccidity, or increased tone without the usual risk of skin tears associated with many trays and troughs. The individual can shift position normally in the chair without the usual risk of slippage and damage to the arm and shoulder joint.
For petite or small-framed patients, the arm rest can even be placed in the opposite configuration to provide upper extremity support and weight-bearing without the user having to lean to the side.
