AliMed Releases Lightest Lead-Free Aprons on the Market

AliMed is pleased to announce the release of their new, ultra-light lead-free aprons. These new aprons are 30 percent lighter than standard lead-free aprons, and offer the same .5mm Pb protection that all AliMed aprons provide. The aprons will appear in the upcoming Radiation Protection catalog and Imaging Solutions tabloid from AliMed.

These new aprons are perfect for staff working in the MRI or imaging centers who need long lasting protection without the fatigue that results from wearing heavier aprons over long periods of time. “Back injuries are a recurring problem in many facilities,” AliMed Associate Product Manager Erin Jones says. “These aprons are the ideal solution for staff, because they help reduce the risk of back strain and provide the same radiation protection as standard aprons. It is a product many of our customers have been waiting for.”

To order these aprons or any of our 70,000 products, visit or call 1-888-625-4633.
