The stitching on most rubber laminate O.R. straps presents punctures, perforations, and thread fibers that create a breeding ground for bacteria. Although it is easy to disinfect the impervious waterproof surface, it is nearly impossible to disinfect bacteria buried and hidden in stitched areas without compromising the structural integrity of the strap.
