Telescoping Brace™ Replaces the cumbersome and uncomfortable Dennis-Browne Bar for treatment of tibial torsion and associated congenital clubfoot in children up to four years. The Telescoping Brace is placed only on the affected leg.
Telescoping Brace consists of the CTEV Wheaton Brace and a separate Knee Orthosis (KO). The KO encloses the back of the knee, capturing the tibia and femur. It holds the knee at 90° flexion, which separates any rotational force on the tibia from femur or hip.
The KO "telescopes" over the CTEV at the tibia. Ability to telescope allows the brace to be adjusted for growth in tibia length. Rotating the CTEV relative to the KO allows selective rotational force to be applied to the tibia. Hook and loop fasteners permit easy adjustment and readjustment for both leg-length growth and desired rotational force on tibia.
Lightweight polypropylene and hook and loop material. Complete fitting instructions included. Components may be adjusted with a heat gun or heavy-duty scissors.

Sizing: Measure leg or foot length. For foot length, measure from heel to tip of big toe. With knee flexed at 90°, measure leg length from bottom of foot to top of patella. Match to sizing for brace needed.
