Eight-Channel Sat Pad Breast Imaging Kit These pads contain a perfluorocarbon fluid that has no hydrogen atoms and features magnetic susceptibility similar to that of human tissue. They will contribute no signal to the MR Image. These imaging kits reduce the influence of the human body on the magnetic flux, improving the homogeneity of the main field. They will attenuate field distortions caused by sharply angled anatomies such as breast and chest walls when performing breast imaging. Breast kits eliminate air-tissue interfaces, making target areas more spherical. The Eight-Channel Kit is also available with an AccuSorb MRI™ Extremity Shielding blanket that was designed to rid imaging artifacts that may show in the sagittal and transverse view.
