These cleaning brushes are intended as single-use disposable devices.
Single-ended Channel Cleaning Brush This is the most common type of cleaning brush for scopes. The brush fits into the accessory channel (sometimes called the biopsy channel) of the scope, and is pushed all the way through the channel until it exits the distal tip of the scope. The brush is then pulled out of the accessory channel.
Double-ended Channel Cleaning Brush This model has a channel cleaning brush on both ends of the catheter. This type of brush is often used by people who prefer to push the brush through the accessory channel and, when the brush exits the distal tip of the scope, grasp it and pull the other brush through the channel for extra cleaning action.
Valve/Control Head Cleaning Brush This model consists of a large diameter brush and a smaller diameter brush connected by an injection molded plastic handle. It is used for cleaning the valves and control buttons on the control head of the scope.
Combination Channel and Valve/Control Head Cleaning Brush This model consists of a large diameter valve cleaning brush on one end and the standard channel cleaning brush on the other end of the standard length catheter. This if intended for users who prefer to be able to clean the channel and the control head with one device.
