DeRoyal® Thermo-Form Thumb Splints DeRoyal's low-profile Thermo-Form Thumb Splints offer the benefits of a custom molded splint&mdash,comfort and compliance. Thermo-Form Thumb Splints feature an internal pocket that houses the thermoplastic insert. Insert can be molded directly on the patient and then inserted into the splint pocket, or molded directly in the pocket by heating the entire product in hot water until the insert is malleable.
Thermo-Form Thumb splints provide the appropriate amount of stabilization to the thumb and surrounding joints based on the injury or condition. Short and Medium lengths are indicated for thumb osteo- or rheumatoid arthritis,
MCP joint injuries (i.e. collateral ligament strains, arthritis, or tendon lacerations), MCP fusion, tendonitis, or joint fractures.
Sizing: Measure wrist circumference.
Small fits 5" to 6"
Medium fits 6" to 7"
Large fits 7" to 8"
X-Large fits 8" to 9"
