Baseline® Pinch Gauges record thumb-finger prehension in pounds and kilograms. Lightweight, rugged, anodized aluminum body. Strap goes around the examiner's wrist. Pointer remains at maximum reading until it's manually reset.
For orthopedics and sports medicine, choose the 60-lb gauge. For weak or damaged hands, (arthritis, neurological problems) use the 10-lb model. For standard assessment, use 30-lb. model.
Annual calibration is recommended, and required for measuring instruments used at facilities accepting Medicare reimbursement (42 CFR 410.33) — more often if used daily, in research, or if dropped. We recommend B&L Engineering. Simply complete the Calibration Service Form and include with the shipment of your instruments. B&L Engineering can be reached at 714.505-9492 or by email at info@bleng.com.
