Fall Protection

Patient falls in healthcare facilities are a leading cause of patient mortality and are considered a Never Event. From October 2008 they will be non reimbursable by CMS (Medicare). Prevention of falls using both traditional fall alarms and early warning fall alarms; along with fall mats and body protection are the best ways to reduce fall potential. Early warning fall management alarms alert caregivers before the patient or resident can arise; thereby giving caregivers a chance to get to the patient before they can fall.
