AccuFix&trade, Tilting Radiotranslucent Head Holder for one-step molding, positioning, and indexing of thermoplastic masks and frames. This head and neck immobilization board is made from a new radiotranslucent material know as Xtrans, an advanced carbon fiber substance. It provides minimum X-ray attenuation when used in radiology and radiation therapy. Unlike competitive products, the AccuFix line of boards is 100% nonmetallic.
Tilting support arm allows adjustment from 0°, to 30º, in 2.5°, increments and can be folded down or removed when not in use. An optional 45°, support arm is available. The board uses Traditional or Slimline&trade, Disposable U-frames, Silverman&trade, and MOLDCARE®, head supports. Quick release swivel locks allow emergency patient release. Can also be used for prone treatment. Two disposable U-frames included with each board. Can be upgraded to provide for cranial spinal axis treatment.
