Moldcare®, IMRT Head Cushion is a customized head support composed of a soft fabric bag containing expanded polystyrene beads that are coated in a moisture-cured polyurethane resin. When activated with water, the pillow molds to a patient&rsquo,s head and then becomes rigid for firm support. , Can be used alone or over a Silverman&trade, head support to create the most comfortable and repeatable head support available. Easy to use. Remove the MOLDCARE®, IMRT Head Cushion from the aluminum foil package. Fill included spray bottle with room temperature or lukewarm water (up to 40º, C/105º, F). Push the spray bottle nozzle slightly against the pillow and spray a shot of water into the pillow. Repeat about 12 times, approximately every 10 cm, to ensure uniform dampening. Place the patient&rsquo,s head on the cushion, making sure that the U-Frame will fit over pillow and form pillow as desired. Wait 5-10 minutes until the pillow is set. The pillow will continue to harden at room temperature over the next 10 minutes.
